Three Platforms, One System — cover

Overview

As UI Lead at Uxin Group, I built the Uxin Yangche design system from zero — a unified visual and interaction language spanning three distinct platforms: a consumer app serving tens of millions of users, an iPad/TV workshop management system for repair technicians, and a B-end reception dashboard for service advisors.

C-end Consumer App

The consumer app served tens of millions of Uxin users, covering maintenance, repair, car wash, paint touch-up, roadside assistance, and traffic violation queries. The paint touch-up feature required a 3D real-time preview — ~330 texture layers across 4 model views, balancing visual quality against file size and load speed.

B-end Workshop & Reception Systems

The workshop management system ran on iPad and TV displays in repair bays — designed for technicians working in noisy, high-contrast environments. The reception dashboard handled vehicle check-in flow for service advisors. Both shared the same design language as the consumer app while serving radically different use contexts.

Reception Dashboard

The reception dashboard carries the full vehicle check-in flow — arrival, registration, task assignment, and workshop status. It shares the same design language as the workshop system while prioritizing information density and operational speed, so advisors can register vehicles quickly even at peak hours.

Design System Decisions

  • Three-color system from zero: Uxin Orange (brand), Cybertron Blue (workshop identity), Workshop Grey (neutral base)
  • AntDesign as the interaction framework foundation — core components consistent, satellite components customized with brand character
  • 3D paint repair preview: ~330 texture layers across 4 model views, shipped on schedule
  • Established design workflow, spec documentation, and handoff standards for the UI team
