Design Principle

Function above form, hidden within form. Most robotic vacuums announce themselves as machines — utilitarian objects that interrupt the visual language of a home. evoo takes the opposite position: it dissolves into the environment, reading as a home object rather than a device.

The Problem with Existing Products

Robotic vacuums in 2016 shared a common visual language: aggressive industrial forms, prominent sensor bumpers, status LEDs, and a general aesthetic that said "appliance." They were designed to look capable, not to belong. evoo asks: what if the most capable product is the one you stop noticing?
